The Garden Valley Mustang Sallies is the newest drill team of the Idaho Drill Team Association. In the spring of 2006, a group of horsewomen in Garden Valley began talking about forming a team for competing in western drill team. After the first attempt at drill under the direction of the team’s Drill Coach, Bob Yardley, the group was hooked. And after a few months of laughter and camaraderie, both in and outside the arena, the team came up with the name of the Mustang Sallies. We look forward to our first competition year. Our team is open for dedicated, hardworking, fun-loving women who would like to join us. We enjoy the excitement of drill, as well as the camaraderie of getting together on the trails to enjoy our horses and friendship.
